The ACEDH actions is  focus on activities to safeguard human rights and the environment through community-based pillars focusing on land governance and access to justice.

The ACEDH indicates that it wants with the local community, to make the land issue an engine for social economic development, it needs more actions to strengthen the rights, transparency and promotion of peasant initiatives favorable for economic growth can meet the basic social needs pledge for the realization of human rights.

She believes that the effort to safeguard the environment requires advocacy, community education and also the democratization of the debate on the environment and climate governance, the grassroots must know the stakes on these issues and what would allow a convergence of the efforts of all actors on these challenges.

Securing the property assets of local communities is a key factor for safeguarding the environment and human rights in an environment where land is the main resource of community members.

What is this approach for?

The ACEDH believes that the issue of environmental protection and human rights are interdependent, and actions must be done in an integrated manner. The issue of land governance in North Kivu in particular and in the DRC in general is among the causes of the violation of human rights and the infectivity of these rights, also the conservation of the environment depends on it because the members of the Landless communities go to protected areas, such as parks, to look for housing or to look for resources to provide for economic needs and rights. Humans. the ACEDH believes that in order to save human rights and the environment, comprehensive and integrated strategies must be put in place to promote the securing of the rights of the poorest and to promote community-based protection mechanisms.
