I am the Legal Manager at AdvocAid Sierra Leone an NGO that works with girls and women caught up in Sierra Leone’s often unjust legal system. I am a lawyer with over 10 years of experience managing legal aid programmes specific to human rights protection and promotion including prison monitoring, refugee protection, public interest litigation, legislation drafting and policy reform. I am particularly passionate about defending women’s human rights in the criminal justice system and interested in the network for the vast experience, ideas, opportunities and resources to ensure justice prevails.

I am a lawyer from Zambia and the UK and have spent the past decade in West Africa. I co-founded AdvocAid, a holistic organization providing access to justice, education and empowerment for women and girls in Sierra Leone. In particular, we work with incarcerated women and sex workers. I currently work with Amnesty International covering Anglophone West Africa.

My expertise is in women impacted by the criminal justice system and I look forward to connecting, and supporting, members of the Network who are working on these issues. Currently I am a fellow at Harvard Law School and doing some research on women's incarceration across Africa.
