Our organisation Amar Shaheed Smriti Viklang evam Netraheen Sansthan (ASSVNS) is the association of disabled persons of Garhwal in Uttarakhand. Main aim is the socioeconomic development of disabled.

Our organisation “Amar Shaheed Smriti Viklang evam Netraheen Sansthan” was established in year 2004 and was registered under the society registration act 1860. The registration number of our organisation is 1130/2004. The president of the society is totally blind person and working since 12 years for the development of poor disabled persons. The secretary of the society have 26 years experience of working as a humanitarian aid worker and he had worked for the relief and rehabilitation of disaster affected persons in major disasters of Uttarakhand (1991,1999 earthquake, 2012,2013,2016 cloudburst and flash floods). Presently the organisation is helping the poor disabled in becoming self-dependent through different kinds of vocational training like  tailoring, laminated plates making,candle making,scent sticks making ,computer course and providing them assistance in getting the government and private jobs. Organisation is also involved in organizing health and general awareness camps for the disabled persons. There are total 513 disabled persons member of the society belonging to different category like physically challenged,mental retard,hearing impaired and visually challenged persons.

Now the organisation interest is in creating awareness about the land rights,environmental justice, rights of the disabled and poor people so that they may become able to raise their voice and eligible for getting the entitlements provided by governments. For this we need your help in getting more information and knowledge about the related laws and justice.
