Bahir Dar University (BDU) is one of the largest non-profit public higher education institutions in Ethiopia. BDU was established in 1963 and is located in the beautiful city of Bahir Dar. The university has a threefold mission:  deliver quality education, undertake research and provide community services. School of Law, which is one of the academic faculties of the BDU, delivers community service through two centers: The Free Legal Aid Center and the Arbitration Center. Misganaw Gashaw Beza was born in 1987 GC from his father Gashaw Beza Ferede and his mother Alemnesh Kassa Dessie in a rural village called Abua Kokit located in the Fogera District of South Gondar, Amhara Regional State, Ethiopia. He attended his primary education at Abua Kokit Primary School (September 1993-June 1998) and his secondary education at Woreta Senior and Secondary School (September 1998- June 2003). Misganaw also attended his preparatory program to higher education at Addis Zemen Secondary and Preparatory School for two years (September 2003- June 2005).
He obtained an LL.B Degree with a very great distinction from the University of Gondar (September 2005- June 2009). Upon graduation, he had been employed as Assistant Lecturer of Law at Debre Markos University, where he taught various law courses, and participated in different research works and community services to solve the problem of the local community. Meanwhile, he joined Mekelle University in September 2010 where he obtained his LL.M degree in Taxation and Investment Laws with Very Great Distinction. He stayed at Debre Markos University for about eight years (September 2009-October 2017) and get hold of the academic level of Assistant Professorship (April 2016).
By October 2017 he joined Bahir Dar University as Assistant Professor of Law. Now he is a Ph.D. Candidate at Bahir Dar University Institute of Land Administration Department of Real Property Law. The Ph.D. program on Land policy and governance is financed by DAAD, Germany. His academic interest includes Tax Laws, Investment and Business Laws, and Real Estate (land and property) laws. His current Ph.D. research focus is on Real Property Taxation. He is highly enthusiastic about teaching and training, research, and community development programs.

My name is Alkadir Mohammode Doude. I was born in Merawi, Amhara Region, Ethiopia on July, 16, 1986. I do have LLB in University of Gondar, School of Law (with Gold Medal). I do also have LL.M in "Business and Corporate Law" in Bahir Dar University School of Law (with Cumulative GPA of 4.000. I am a lecturer and Researcher in Law & other related disciplines at Bahir Dar University School Law since 2013. Now,I am Director of Bahir Dar University School of Law Arbitration Center.

Zewdu earned his first degree in law from Bahir Dar University and his LLM in public international law from Addis Ababa University. Since 2010 he has been teaching law in Bahir Dar University. In addition to this, he worked on administrative tasks and community service mission of the law school. He was providing free legal aid service and giving legal expertise interviews with mass media agencies. He also served as Course chair for Public International Law and Human Right law related courses for three years. He serves the school as Coordinator of the LLM program on environment and land law. He was also the Legal advisor to Bahir Dar University Institutes of Technology and member of the managing council for one year. He was the one who coordinated the project based LLM program on Criminal Justice and human Right. Since 2018 he serving as a vice dean for graduate programs, research and community service. He has lot research publications on international watercourse, international environmental law, treaty law and human rights related matters.
He also participated as legal expert in the FDRE ministry of foreign affairs for the drafting and preparation of the 2nd Universal Periodic review report and that of the 5th and 6th national report of Ethiopia on African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights document. While working in the ministry he got the opportunity of drafting model bilateral agreements, Participate in different seminars and workshops in human right, Environment and Investment issues; and undertakes various researches on Public international law.
He is joining this network to get opportunity to meet like minded group who wish to conduct researches in collaboration and contribute my role in the legal empowerment of my community.
