CCHD has 17 years of experience in rule of law and access to justice sector. We believes that rule of law and democracy are interlinked and mutually reinforcing. Good governance cannot be guaranteed in void of rule of law and access to justice. Protection of human rights will only be possible when rule of law and access to justice will improve.

Our Mission:

  • CCHD aims to empower people to demand and shape better policies, express grievances, seek justice and hold leaders and private sector to account.

Our Objectives:

  • To increase citizens awareness about their civic, social, political and economic rights;
  • To broaden base of social justice in the society;
  • To improve rule of law and access to justice for the poor;
  • To promote pluralistic civil society that fortify democratic practices;
  • To strengthen linkages with existing networks and movements addressing common goals.

CCHD has closed down more than 40 projects in its thematic areas of Rule of Law, Access to Justice, Human Rights, Violence Against Women, Peace and Tolerance, Democratic Education and Protection Services.

OUR APPROACH: CCHD thrives to expand the ability of citizens to access justice through courts and legal representation. It also seeks to increase citizens’ ability to engage fairly with law enforcement officials and also to make use of the informal justice mechanisms. With this in mind, the following justice sector areas are on top of our list to improve justice system in Pakistan.

I am a human rights defender and have 17 years of experience in rule of law and access to justice. Presently I am working as Senior Legal and Judicial Affairs Communication key expert in a three years European Union funded project, Punjab Access to Justice.

I also head a rights based non governmental organization, which has provided free legal aid to more than 5,500 men and women and has raised legal awareness of millions of people. We also conduct awareness raising and advocacy campaigns through print and electronic media, and social media, besides providing free legal aid and advise to vulnerable and marginalizes citizens and groups.

My own expertise are in strategic programme development and management, communication, training, research, advocacy and lobbying. I am also good at making marketing plans and ensuring buy in from public and private sector.
