EarthLife Cameroon

We work in the North West Region of Cameroon and we educate especially the rural masses on issues of Environment and climate change. This is through workshops public campaigns and press releases.

Presence in: Cameroon
Focus: Environmental Justice

EarthLife Cameroon is a Non Governmental Organisation created since 2008 at the backdrop of the acute lack of knowledge by the man on the street on the importance of environmental protection . Above all, this body is interested in the protection of the environmental rights of the rural people of Cameroon, We therefore carry out pro-bono litigation on behalf of indigent litigants whose rights have been abused as well as educate them on such rights. Our overriding objectives is to leverage the awareness of the negative effects of climate change in the rural communities who have some sort of been left out and have been so ignorant. We use school milieus through drama and sketches to easily  and quickly transmit our our messages. our Organisation equally links up with government departments and other similar organisation for purposes of cross pollination.

Interests: Environmental Justice
I am a legal practitioner with a post call standing of 18 years in general legal practice and after receiving a Masters degree in Environmental law in 2010 from the University of London, I have since refocused and developed a passion for climate change law and policy. I have developed a keen interest in the mitigation procedures relating to climate change especially when it comes to the protection of the rights of the indigenous people of the Congo basin. I offer part time lectures in the University of Bamenda, Cameroon. I equally work as a research officer for the Pan African Parliamentary Network for Climate Change. I further serve as deputy Director for the African Development Partnership a not for profit organisation based in Yaounde Cameroon. My expectations in joining this network are that by the day, my skills and capacities are sharpened.
