The Global Shapers Community – an initiative of the World Economic Forum – is a network of Hubs developed and led by young people who are exceptional in their potential, their achievements and their drive to make a contribution to their communities.

The Mbabane Hub, a registered Non-Profit Organization in the Kingdom of Swaziland, is a youth-led and youth-driven chapter of the Global Shapers Community, an initiative of the World Economic Forum.

The Mbabane Hub is a working example of exceptional young people in their own right, who work together and are passionately involved in the enrichment of the greater Mbabane city and the people of our beautiful Kingdom as a whole.

Our commitment as shapers is to prove that no vision is ever too big, nor hub city too small, to make a positive and lasting contribution to one’s community, through our Hub’s commitment to its “3 E’s”: education, empowerment and exceptionality.

Ms. Nondumiso Hlophe is an inaugural Queen’s Young Leader winner from the Kingdom of Swaziland -an honour bestowed upon her by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, for her contribution in leadership and social impact to the Commonwealth of Nations – from 2015.

In 2012, Ms. Hlophe was selected by the World Economic Forum as Founding Curator of the Mbabane Hub of the Global Shapers Community, its youth-led impact initiative and youngest community of the Forum. A registered Non-Profit Organization in Swaziland, the Mbabane Hub has produced several impact projects within the capital city.

In her professional capacity, Nondumiso is an analyst, consultant and writer.Her academic background includes a Bachelor’s in Organizational Psychology & Political and International studies, with Honours housed in International Relations, from Rhodes University. Ms. Hlophe also serves an Associate Fellow of the Royal Commonwealth Society and currently resides in her native country, Swaziland.

Abogada con idoneidad para ejercer el derecho en Panamá y México. Egresada de la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Panamá. Con estudios en Derecho Corporativo, Oralidad Familiar, Derechos Humanos y Amparo. Desde inicios del año 2017 se dedica al litigio con experiencia dentro de reconocidas firmas en Mérida.

Cuenta, además, con experiencia como abogada en la apertura de cuentas bancarias y compañías offshore para la protección de patrimonio en Panamá. Fungió como analista de inversión y trabajó en temas de “compliance” para una importante a empresa australiana establecida en Panamá.

Gracias a su interés en temas de desarrollo social y equidad, es cofundadora de Impact Mayab, organización promotora de empresas que buscan generar impacto, beneficios sociales, ambientales y económicos a todos sus “stakeholders” en la Península de Yucatán. Desde 2019 forma parte de la creación Hub de Mérida de la organización internacional Global Shapers, conformada por jóvenes que generan impacto positivo en el Estado. Actualmente, es miembro del equipo que desarrolla el proyecto “MEYAYIL TULÁAKAL” del maya -Trabajamos Juntos- donde se crean alianzas entre comunidades indígenas de la región y empresas que requieran mano de obra desde casa, buscando que vuelva el trabajo y la prosperidad económica a los pueblos a fin de preservar la cultura y tradiciones. Adicionalmente forma parte del colectivo “Red de Abogadas Violeta Yucatán” donde ofrece asesoría y acompañamiento a mujeres que sufren violencia doméstica.

Con dominio completo del idioma español e inglés. Formó parte del equipo voluntario que coordino e impartió del programa “Educate Me” a estudiantes universitarios, mediante el desarrollo de temas referentes a emprendimiento y liderazgo, en Túnez, Norte de África.
