Catherine Muya

I am a Human Rights Advocate passionate on Citizenship and Inclusion. I have assisted in Data Collection exercise on the Stateless Shona Community undertaken by the UNHCR Kenya. Further undertook a study on the Legal Framework to Reduce the Risk of Statelessness in Kenya. Digital ID expert, promoted the knowledge of Digital ID, Good ID in Kenya by conducting a series of Policy Hackathons on behalf of the Lawyers Hub and Omidyar Network. Calls for proper regulation of Digital ID in Kenya following Kenya's Huduma Bill (Digital Identity Law). Lawyer and Policy Researcher, Digital Rights and Tech policy at the Lawyers Hub. Conducted research and reporting on Data protection, online Freedom of Expression, Association and Access to Information.

My areas of interest are Human Rights, Gender and the law and Sexual and Reproductive health and rights. I strive for a just and fair world, encouraging social justice through advocacy of gender equality, sexual and reproductive rights and human rights. Veronicah Kanyara

Hi, my name is Veronica Kanyara. I hold a Bachelor of Law from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. I was admitted to the Bar in Kenya in 2017 and I’m an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya currently practicing in a mid-level law firm in Nairobi as an Associate. I have a keen interest in Land reforms and property rights, employment law and labour related issues and women's rights and empowerment. I also volunteer at Students for Liberty , an organization that seeks to promote ideas of Liberty and empowerment. I look forward to interacting with like-minded individuals and experts in this field, to not only exchange ideas but to learn and offer my experience as well.
