Media for trans-formative advocacy ( MTA) is a Uganda based development communication organization registered with a driving motivation to provide interventions to the gaps in the field of transformation of communities using communication, media and advocacy.

MTA is a human rights defender organization, making a contribution towards global efforts to move international community at the highest level on the need to ensure the effective safety and security of human rights defenders around the world, in compliance with international obligations and commitments

MTA is designed to offer a dedicated media platform for gathering , analyzing and communicating all relevant public information on the activities of different human rights defenders protection in Uganda, but specifically in karamoja and teso sub regions

as a Human rights defender, media for trans-formative advocacy highlights the visibility of the multimedia documentation produced by human rights defenders mechanisms such as press releases, as well as of their actions (processes of interest groups defending land rights, natural rights public interest litigation, trials observed, capacity building , trends

MTA avails human rights defenders information such as : publicly available international, regional and national legal resources, mapping and reporting digital rights and online freedom of expression in the region and to shade light on corruption and lack of transparency in both public and private sector and land sector in the region

MTA has over the years established and found its strength in areas like social and behavior change communication, gender rights, governance , human rights promotion and protection , media and communication training, community communication linkages approaches among other interventions
