Miracle Corners-Zambia is a non-profit organization with a vision for communities around the world to achieve greater levels of education, improved health, and increased economic security. The Mission of MC-Zambia is to address communities’ pressing needs by empowering current leaders and readying leaders of tomorrow. The organization has been providing programs and services for the Chanyanya community of Kafue district of Zambia for the last 8 years.

MC-Zambia in the past two years has been advocating for what is provided for in the Education Act for an increased number of children to be integrated and enrolled in formal schools through our literacy project. Zambia’s main legislation on education is the Education Act 2011, which identifies each person’s rights to early childhood education, basic education and high school education. Since 2006, government education policies have focused on access, but there is a recent shift towards improving quality of education in addition to addressing accessibility issues.
