Open Society Foundations, OSFA is dedicated to supporting the development of “civil society” — independent groups that work to make government more accountable to citizens, to combat injustices, and to support those who find themselves pushed to the margins by society. The Foundation is working on a wide spectrum of projects—from empowerment of parents in schools to improving care for the terminally ill, from reconstructing homes in Roma communities to supporting a massive overhaul of the judicial system and supporting Albania’s efforts to join the European Union.
