The Passion for the Needy is an initiative which started as a charity movement in 2012.The initiative particularly targets women, girls, children, elders and persons with disability, the most vulnerable members of the rural society; it addresses issues of Education, women economic empowerment, gender knowledge, and sustainable Livelihood, Environment, Water Sanitation & Health, Good Governance and emergencies interventions. The initiative works with the rural communities at large to identify core problems.

Passion for the Needy Mission: – To build an inclusive, confidence, raise self-esteem and empower the community we work with to participate fully in their own affair and decision making to facilitate community based projects. This is aimed to exploit the natural and human resources available in the region whilst sustaining and improving the environment for the benefit of the livelihoods. The initiative aims to bring together the local community with their expertise and experience and the development agencies with their resource to confront gender discrimination, divides on senses of tribalism & religious beliefs, Ignorance, Diseases, Poor Livestock Husbandry, Environmental Degradation and the resultant Poverty and Retrogression.

Passion for the needy forms the basis for networking with Development Stakeholders both national and international to create a resource center and coordination platform to forge an inclusive planning for a sustainable community development on challenges affecting the rural community. While also Integrate the existing unexplored opportunities and successful model projects for improvement of socio-economic status of the target population.

I am a proactive young Tanzania Lawyer, who is so passionate about integrating legal knowledge in the rural areas of Tanzania by empowering the most vulnerable groups with legal knowledge especially rural women, girls and people with disability. I am a founder of the Passion for the Needy Organization, an organization whose mission is to create an inclusive, just society where rights, value, and dignity of every member of the society are recognized.
