M.A.P. was registered on February 20, 2013, with the primary objective of operating as a centre for the study of refugee law and forced migration. It is India’s first and only refugee law centre. M.A.P is a woman-led organisation and has an all-woman staff. Its primary objective is to adopt innovative methods to expand the protection space available for forced migrants and refugees, particularly the more vulnerable of them such as women, children and LGBT, in India.

I completed my law degree from Symbiosis Law School and my Masters from University of Rouen, France. I have nearly 2 years of work experience with the UNHCR field office in India. I have previously worked with Bail for Immigration Detainees and with Refugee and Migrant Justice, both in London. I have also worked as a consultant with the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India and UNICEF, where I worked on child protection laws. At M.A.P, I manage all the programmes, supervise the legal team and undertake fundraising. I have expertise in dealing with claims involving displaced women and children.
