I am a lecturer of law at Wollega University school of law, coordinator for free legal aid center within school of law in Ethiopia. Previously I was a judge of first instance and high court of Oromia regional state. I have trained from NITA and OPD( national institute for trial advocacy from USA in collaboration with office of public defender of Nigeria). Currently I am working on providing free legal aid service which includes creating legal awareness, Giving consultancy service on legal issues, writing pleadings, representation at court of law and other government institution for vulnerable societies like Women, Children, Persons with disability, persons living with HIV/AIDS, IDPs/returnees. I am looking for to share experiences from other institutions/organizations those working on the promotion of access to justice in order to render quality service for the clients. Wollega University free legal aid center works on the promotion and enforcement of human rights. However, protection and promotion of human rights cannot be fully realized by single institution or organization. This in turn requires collaboration or partnership with organization both nationally and internationally to realize the mission of free legal aid services. This indicates my intention for looking for joining the network.
