The Innovating Justice Awards are designed to stimulate innovations in the justice sector. Rule of Law professionals can identify the most promising developments in the field. Innovators are motivated to improve and to apply their innovations across borders. Nominees and applicants will be able to share their setbacks, successes and best practices.

Innovating Justice Award ‘Successful innovations’

• September 1^st, 2011 – September 1^st, 2012 | Call open
  Innovating Justice decides who will be nominated based on the answers to the questions of the Innovation Model 
• September 1^st, 2012 – October 1^st, 2012 | First round of public voting and wild cards selection by last year’s nominees
• October 1^st, 2012 – November 1^st, 2012 | A professional jury decides on top three finalists
• November 1^st, 2012 | Top three finalists will be notified and invited for the ceremony at the Innovation Justice Conference
• 28 November 2012 | Presentation of Innovating Justice Awards winner at the Innovating Justice Conference

Innovating Justice Award ‘Most important challenges’

• September 1^st, 2011 – September 1^st, 2012 | Call open
• September 1^st, 2012 – October 1^st, 2012 | First round of public voting on most relevant problem areas linked to submitted challenges
• October 1^st, 2012 – November 1^st, 2012 | Think tanks will:
  – assess the knowledge gap and initiate research;
  – screen the innovative ideas;
  – come up with innovative solutions;
  – find partners to execute and finance the research;
  – find partners to realize the innovative solutions.
• 28 November 2012 | The Think tanks will present how to address the three most important challenges

  Applicants can apply to a problem area or independently
• September 1^st, 2012 – October 1^st, 2012 | First round of public voting and wild cards selection by last year’s nominees
