The Guardian newspaper’s Development section has published a picture gallery of Namati images. These were taken by the photographer Bremen Donovan in 2014. The images accompany extended captions explaining how a new land use law, due to be finalised in 2015, is likely to mean land seizures committed by the military and powerful elites during Myanmar’s long dictatorship will go unresolved. There is is also the potential for women to be hugely dispossessed by the new land law.
