Born in Matola, Mozambique, Carlota is the mother of two children. She has been a Health Advocate with Namati since 2014. She was educated at Nkobe Secondary School and previously worked as an activist on HIV/AIDS issues at ICAP at the José Macamo Health Center. Her work experience also includes supervising activists with the PACTO project, an HIV/AIDS program carried out in coordination with John Hopkins University.
