Cezar was born in Inhassune, in the Panda District of Mozambique. At 8 years old, he moved away from his family to live with relatives so he would be able to go to elementary school. He later continued his education at the Eduardo Mondlane University in Maputo.
After graduation, he worked at the Foundation for Community Development in Vilanculos as an HIV/AIDS activist and then at the Youth and Friends Association in Gunuro as a field monitor, where he was responsible for responding to emergencies. Later he spent time at Care as an activist sensitizing the community in the fight to prevent HIV/AIDS and also at Sal e Caldeira Consulting as a research assistant in various social projects. His most recent position prior to joining Namati was at Cervejas de Moçambique as a Capture Clerk.
Cezar is deeply passionate about community work, and he is driven to improve relations between communities and healthcare facilities throughout Mozambique.
