Zulficar has more than 15 years of experience in banking, finance and administration. He began his career at Perfect Partners, Ltd, an auditing, consulting and accounting company where he became Senior Accountant. From 2004-2014 he worked for Banco ProCredit – a microfinance bank where he held a number of key positions, including Director of Internal Audits, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Deputy General Manager. From 2014-2016 he was Director of Operations and Technology for Ecobank (Ecobank acquired Banco ProCredit). At age 36, Zulficar became co- founder and CEO of an Investment Holding Company – Bur Invest Group – composed of five companies. He joined Namati Moçambique in November of 2017 as Finance and Operations Coordinator.
Zulficar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Universidade Eduardo Mondlane in Maputo, Mozambique and a Certificate of Banking Management from Procredit Academy in Frankfurt, Germany. He is currently completing a second degree in Accounting and Auditing from Instituto Superior Monitor, in Maputo, Mozambique.
