A Guide to Civil Society Organizations Working on Democratic Governance

This guide offers a snapshot of more than 300 civil society organizations (CSOs) working on democratic governance at the global and regional levels. It provides information on CSOs across the United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP’s) seven priority democratic governance areas or Service Lines. These are:

  • Policy Support to Democratic Governance
  • Parliamentary Development
  • Electoral Systems and Processes
  • Justice and Human Rights
  • E-governance and Access to Information
  • Decentralization, Local Governance and Urban/Rural Development
  • Public Administration Reform and Anti-corruption

The Guide is provided primarily as a resource for UNDP offices working on democratic governance and seeking to strengthen engagement and further collaboration with civil society.
