YWCA Boys Mentorship Training Manual

The Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) Council of Zambia is proud to be associated with the implementation of a boys mentorship program which aims at promoting gender equality and preventing Gender Based Violence. This publication is therefore a handbook that will be used as training manual in mentoring boys as change agents and active participants in promoting gender equality and contributing to ending vices such gender based violence and child marriage in their communities.

This manual has been developed to assist stakeholders to improve and expand their programming efforts in mentoring boys as key stakeholders in the current efforts being made to promote gender equality and prevent gender based violence and child marriage.

The aim of this manual is to systematically improve program interventions focusing on mentoring boys as change agents by putting them at the center of prevention and responding to what some stakeholders have called the ‘silent epidemic’.
