As Chief of Staff, Deyla partners with COO Laura Goodwin and CEO Vivek Maru to ensure Namati’s highest priorities move forward with clarity, coordination, and care. She does this by identifying needs, equipping leadership to make informed decisions, removing bottlenecks, and leading complex initiatives, while strengthening systems and fostering collaboration across the entire team.
Deyla has deep roots at Namati. From 2014 to 2020, she supported senior leadership during a period of significant growth, helping build much of the organizational infrastructure that remains today and eventually leading the first iteration of Namati’s People team. After serving as Associate Director on the Culture and Talent team at Arabella Advisors (2020–2021), she returned to Namati as Senior Operations Manager, US Environmental Justice, reconnecting her work with the lived realities of frontline partners and communities in the Mid-Atlantic.
Deyla holds an MSc in International Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA in Political Science and International Relations from Whittier College. Raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico, she now lives in Denver with her husband and dog. Outside of work, you’ll find her camping, skiing, tap dancing, practicing yoga, and attending dubstep shows.
