Sara Vandepeute recently joined Namati as Controller and is responsible for the organization’s accounting operations. She is a mission-driven accounting and finance professional with over fifteen years of experience in a global nonprofit setting. Prior to Namati, Sara led the finance and accounting team at Vital Voices Global Partnership where she played a critical role building the organization from a small nonprofit to a $22m+ organization. As part of her role at Vital Voices, she also oversaw procurement, contracts, subgrant management, and grant compliance with a focus on US Federal Assistance Awards.
Before Vital Voices, Sara worked at AFS Intercultural Programs, a nonprofit that facilitates international high school student exchange programs. She is also a returned Peace Corps Volunteer and served as high school science and math teacher in Namibia. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Willamette University in Salem, OR.
