The global study, entitled ‘Accessing Justice: Models, Strategies and Best Practices on Women’s Empowerment‘, examines the major positive impacts of legal empowerment on women across a range of geographic and cultural contexts, even within informal justice systems. The study presents a rigorous argument in favor of “efforts aimed at legal education, legal training, the provision of legal services and the creation of a space for women to question and negotiate discriminatory ‘cultural’ norms.”
