UNHCR Launches Statelessness Campaign

The UN’s High Commissioner for Refugees has launched a campaign to end statelessness. The campaign includes a ten-point action plan it wants to see countries use to end statelessness and an open letter UNHCR hopes will be signed by 10 million people.

The action plan includes a call for the removal of gender discrimination in nationality laws, asks for a commitment to ensure all births are registered and for states to issue identity documentation to those legally entitled to them.

Sign on to UNHCR’s campaign.
