Jenna is the Global Programs Fellow at Namati. Her role at Namati will be to support program teams, the learning agenda, and Namati’s strategic planning and research initiatives. Jenna grew up in the Midwest, but eventually found her home in the mountains and on the beaches of the west coast. When not working, Jenna enjoys trying new restaurants, reading unassigned books, and dancing (ballet, tap, jazz, modern). She also really enjoys cooking and hosting friends.
Jenna joins Namati while finishing her masters in International Policy and Development at the
Middlebury Institute of International Studies, in Monterey, California. The particular focus of her studies has been on global poverty, inequality, and Latin America, with particular research on multiculturalism and political economy and structural violence. Prior to her graduate studies, she studied design and architecture, but never practiced. Instead, she fell in love with community development and organizing and served as a program manager for 5+ years in stateside nonprofit organizations and venture philanthropy. She chose to pursue a graduate degree in order to transition her professional skills and experience to a more international environment and in a capacity where policies and programs intersect.
