Constanza Argentieri
Co-Director of Asociación Civil por la Igualdad y la Justicia (ACIJ) – Argentina

Constanza Argentieri is a lawyer (UBA), undertook an LL.M in Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (American University), a specialization in human rights and constitutional law (UP), and is also an undergraduate professor on human rights and guarantees at UBA. She worked at the National Human Rights Secretariat in Argentina, the Council for the Rights of Children and Youth of the Government of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, and the Civil Rights Association (ADC). She was the Technical Assistance Director at the Human Rights Public Policy Institute for MERCOSUR (IPPDH) and in her last position she directed the promotion, capacity-building and monitoring of recommendations and impact at the Interamerican Commission of Human Rights (IACHR). Since march 2020 she is the Co-Director of Asociación Civil por la Igualdad y la Justicia (ACIJ).

Denise Dora
Co-Founder of Themis – Gênero, Justiça, Direitos Humanos – Brazil

Denise Dora is a human rights lawyer, co-founder of Themis – Gênero, Justiça, Direitos Humanos. She has an undergraduate degree in Law by Universidad Federal de Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, and an LLM in International Human Rights Law / Essex University, United Kingdom, and a Master’s degree in History, Politics and Cultural Goods / Fundación Getulio Vargas. She is part of the Civil Society Avisory Board of UN Women Latin America.

Marco Aparicio Wilhelmi
President of Observatori DESC – Spain

Marco Aparicio is a doctorate in Public Law and an adjunct professor on constitutional law at Universitat de Girona, where he currently coordinates the Doctorate Program in Law, Economy and Business. At the same time, he is also the co-director of the UNESCO Sustainable Human Development Chair at the same university. Since February 2017, he is the president of Observatori DESC, and since October 2019 he is a member of the advisory board of the International Catalan Institute for Peace (ICIP). He collaborates with multiple organizations working in the defense of human rights, such as FIDH, SOS Racismo or Legal Centre Lesvos, among other.

Marco Fandiño Castro
Studies and Project Director at Justice Studies Center of the Americas (JSCA) – Chile

Marco Fandiño has an undergraduate degree in Law (Universidad de Santiago de Compostela), Latinamerican Studies Programme (Universidad Católica Argentina), Master’s degree in Governance and Human Rights (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid). He has participated in a capacity-building and advisory capacity in different judicial reform processes in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and Uruguay. He has worked as a consultant for international organisms such as the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as well as for national institutions like the Justice and Human Rights Ministry in Chile or the Public Minsitry in Guatemala, among other. Marco Fandiño is also the Director of the Civil Conflictivity and Access to Justice Observatory (OCCA), that monitors access to justice problems in Latin America with a special emphasis on vulnerable groups.

Walter Flores
Executive Director of Centro de Estudios para la Equidad y Gobernanza en Los Sistemas de Salud – Guatemala

Walter has more than 20 years of professional experience as a researcher, international consultant, postgraduate professor and project manager in the health systems, right to health and citizen participation areas. He has carried his professional work in more than 25 countries from Latin America, Africa, the Middle-East, Asia and Europe. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology by the California State University (USA), a Master’s Degree in Community Health by the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (UK), and a PhD in Development and Evaluation of Health Systems by the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
